Information Governance Certificates
Information Governance is an increasingly important area of activity in the public sector, with many actions either required by law or mandated for public bodies. As well as his current enforcement powers, the Information Commissioner is now able to fine organisations upto £500,000 for reckless loss or misuse of personal information.
All employees have responsibilities in relation to Information Governance. It is essential that each public body has employees who are expert in this area and who can advise and guide the public body in relation to this area, which has important corporate governance aspects.
We have established the Information Governance Certificate, a six month e-learning course to help organisations achieve compliance. We use a blended learning approach which is based on e-learning from our website; it includes telephone tutorials, face to face learning and e-mail exchanges
