Cultural Awareness Training

Background

Cultural awareness is a key component of successful organisation and team working in the modern public and private sector. There is not only compelling evidence that shows the need to harness diversity in order to achieve the most effective performance; there is also a need for the organisation to be compliant with law in this area.

Dilys Jones Associates Ltd hold workshops utilising cases and scenarios specific to your organisation to achieve a number of objectives:

  • How to identify and understand cultural difference and its characteristics
  • Achieve an understanding of the evidence base for using this approach and the considerable benefits
  • Understand the legal framework and its impact on day to day practice and behaviour in the workplace
  • Identify your own strengths and development areas; learn how to demonstrably value the perspectives of others
  • Identify how to work together, communicate effectively and manage difficult situations to achieve a “win win”  situation
      


Who should attend?

Our workshops are tailored to suit organisational needs; we provide training in this area for all groups within organisations: including those who develop polices on cultural awareness, those who have a responsibility for implementing it, and for all groups of employees. Our trainers and facilitators are all experienced in this area and well grounded in the law, best practice and managing challenging situations in the workplace.
