Communication

Communication is an essential skill for clinicians, trainers and managers. It can be verbal and non-verbal, it plays a major part in most work activities and the way that we communicate has a considerable impact on all those with whom we interact in the workplace.

Our training solutions look at how we communicate, at verbal and non-verbal communication and how we can communicate effectively.

Objectives

At the end of the training, delegates will:

  • Understand the principles behind effective communication
  • Understand the barriers to effective communication and overcoming them
  • Have created a personal action plan and coping strategies for effective communication

The training will cover the skills required for effective communication, identifying the impact that your communication style has on others, developing yourself as an effective communicator, understanding different communication approaches and when to use them, and  learning how to use communication. It will include being approachable, active listening, sharing information, managing communication in meetings and facilitating others in communication.
